check

An alternative for switch that resembles Ruby's case.

Install

If you're using yarn:

yarn add @fnando/check

If you're using npm:

npm install @fnando/check

Usage

The following example shows all supported type checkings:

import check from "@fnando/check";

// `input` can be either a value or a function.
// When providing a function, the function is called only once
// before running `case`s.
const input = 1;

check(input)
  .case(1, () => console.log("Received one!"))
  .case(/^hello$/, () => console.log("Hello!"))
  .case("Hi", () => console.log("Hi!"))
  .case(undefined, () => console.log("input is undefined"))
  .case(null, () => console.log("input is null"))

  .test(() => console.log("This is the default statement"));

Both case and default functions receive the input value.
