Standard 52-Card Deck

A list of two or three letter abbreviations for each card in a standard 52-card deck.

Installation

npm install @stdlib/datasets-standard-card-deck

Usage

var cards = require( '@stdlib/datasets-standard-card-deck' );

cards()

Returns a list of two or three letter abbreviations for each card in a standard 52-card deck.

var list = cards();
// returns [ 'AC', '2C', '3C', ... ]

Abbreviation format:

<card><suit>

Cards: A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, where

  • A: ace
  • J: jack
  • Q: queen
  • K: king

Suit abbreviations:

  • C: clubs
  • D: diamonds
  • H: hearts
  • S: spades

Examples
