README

email-comb

Remove unused CSS from email templates

Install

The latest version is ESM only: Node 12+ is needed to use it and it must be imported instead of required. If your project is not on ESM yet and you want to use require, use an older version of this program, 5.1.0.

npm i email-comb

Quick Take

import { strict as assert } from "assert";

import { comb, defaults, version } from "email-comb";

// aptly named classes:
const source = `<head>
<style type="text/css">
.unused1[z] {a:1;}
.used[z] {a:2;}
</style>
</head>
<body class="  used  "><a class="used unused3">z</a>
</body>
`;

const intended = `<head>
<style type="text/css">
.used[z] {a:2;}
</style>
</head>
<body class="used"><a class="used">z</a>
</body>
`;

assert.equal(comb(source).result, intended);
